
Kuta Beach Flooded By Trashes
February 04, 2010 - Entering rainy season, Kuta Beach continued to receive wastes from the rivers or the forests around Bali. It caused by natural factors, the west wind season.
In every day, about 120 cubic meters (equivalent of 20 garbage trucks) of plastic trash and tree limbs must be cleaned by the beach officers.
I Gusti Ngurah Tresna, the head of Kuta Beach Task Force said, the officers are getting overwhelmed to overcome the waste problem because it continually coming to the beach. Because of large amounts of trashes, the beach manager must use some heavy equipment like tractors to carry them away.
